The 922G series is an impressive range of 20 ton dump trucks from Hydrema that combines high efficiency, premium comfort and advanced safety features. The series includes the 922G, 922 2.55, 922HM and 920G models. These machines are designed to handle a wide range of tasks in the construction industry with outstanding performance and reliability.
The Hydrema 922HM is an impressive variant in the 922G series that has the same powerful features as the 922G model. However, this machine is equipped with larger tires, giving it extra ground clearance and reducing ground pressure. With a tire width of 2’7.5” ft in, the Hydrema 922HM delivers excellent off-road performance and is ideal for working in a variety of terrains where surface protection is essential.
The Hydrema 922HM is equipped with an impressive engine and transmission that contribute to its excellent performance. This machine is powered by a powerful Cummins B 6.7 liter 6-cylinder Stage 5 engine. The engine is equipped with DOC, DPF and SCR catalyst with AdBlue addition, ensuring compliance with the strictest emission standards. With 24 valves, common-rail turbo diesel and electronic variable turbocharger, the engine delivers a maximum power output of 231 kW / 314 hp at 2200 rpm and an impressive torque of 1288 Nm at 1500 rpm.
The Hydrema 922HM is equipped with a ZF ERGOPOWER 6 WG-210 automatic transmission that has 6 forward and 3 reverse gears. The transmission is equipped with 100% lock-up in all gears and has a manually operated differential lock between the front and rear axles. It allows for both automatic and manual gear shifting. The maximum speed of the machine is 31 mph in forward direction and 19 mph in reverse, and it has an impressive maximum tractive effort of 223 kN.
The 922HM features an articulated chassis with an advanced pendulum rod and dual hydraulic stabilisers in the articulated pivot point. These two stabilisers work together to deliver exceptional stability both when driving and tipping. The chassis construction is made from high-strength steel, ensuring maximum strength while maintaining a low kerb weight. The tilt angle can be adjusted up to +/- 12 degrees, providing versatility and efficiency in any work situation.
The front axle is equipped with electro-hydraulic suspension and individual levelling on each side, which adapts the machine to the optimal position. In addition, the front axle has a standard differential lock with 75% locking action. The rear axle is a heavy-duty bogie axle with reduction gears in the hubs for simple and maintenance-free operation. It also has a large swing angle, which contributes to the machine's agility and performance in different working conditions.
The impressive engine in the 922HM is a Cummins B 6.7 liter 6-cylinder Stage 5 engine. It is equipped with advanced technologies such as DOC, DPF and SCR catalyst with AdBlue addition, ensuring not only compliance with emission standards but also maximum performance. This engine is a 24-valve common-rail turbodiesel with intercooler and electronically variable turbocharger. It delivers a remarkable maximum power output of 231 kW / 314 hp at 2200 rpm and an impressive torque of 1288 Nm at 1500 rpm. A powerful engine ready to tackle any challenge.
The Hydrema 922HM is designed with fuel efficiency in mind. It has an impressive 79.25 gallon diesel tank and a 8.1 gallon AdBlue tank, both integrated into the front chassis. This ensures the machine can work for longer periods of time without interruption, increasing productivity and reducing the need for frequent refuelling.
This 20 ton dump truck is equipped with a full 2-circuit braking system that includes oil immersed disc brakes on all 6 wheels. This system provides reliable braking power and is maintenance-free, so you can work worry-free. For additional safety, the machine has a Fail Safe handbrake on the front axle. And when it comes to controlling your speed downhill, you have a manually operated retarder at your disposal. The retarder is a smart combination of engine brake and hydraulic retarder that delivers an impressive maximum retarder output of 300 kW / 405 hp. So you can brake safely and effectively in any situation.
The 922HM from Hydrema is equipped with an advanced hydraulic system with no less than 5 hydraulic pumps working in perfect harmony:
Pump 1: 48.9 gal/min constant flow pump for brakes, stabilizer, differential lock and suspension.
Pump 2: 51.5 gal/min variable pump for articulated steering.
Pump 3: 51.5 gal/min constant flow pump for tipping function and retarder.
Pump 4: 16.9 gal/min constant flow pump for additional retarder power.
Pump 5: 6.9 gal/min variable flow pump for emergency steering.
This dumper is equipped with an impressive ZF ERGOPOWER 6 WG-210 automatic transmission with 6 forward and 3 reverse gears. It's not just a regular transmission - it has 100% lock-up in all gears, ensuring an efficient and smooth power transfer.

The battery consists of two 12V batteries with a capacity of 100Ah each, giving you the necessary power reserve to handle even the most demanding tasks. With this electrical system, you can work efficiently and worry-free, no matter where your workday takes you.
The Hydrema 922HM dump truck body is built to handle the most demanding tasks. Made from Hardox 450 high-strength steel, without side ribs, it's solid and durable. With double-acting tipping cylinders located under the body and impressive tipping times of just 7.5 seconds up and 5.5 seconds down, it delivers reliable performance. It can also be equipped with options such as exhaust heating and an automatic tailgate for increased efficiency. With an impressive 70° tipping angle, this dump body can handle even the most demanding material unloads with ease.
